Room to breathe
Countryside pictures are the most restful in the gallery. Gentle hills fold into one another, lanes curve past hedgerows and cottages, and fields shift from golden to green under wide skies. There is no rush in these scenes, which makes them a lovely choice when you want a puzzle that feels like a slow walk.
Because landscapes rely on large areas of similar colour, it helps to find the lines that run through them. The horizon is a strong guide, separating sky from land across the whole board. Roads, rivers, tree lines and field boundaries then divide the lower half into manageable sections. Clouds and distant hills are best saved for the end, when shape comparison does most of the work. A lower piece count keeps it calm; more pieces turn it into a quiet, absorbing project.
Pictures open in the main drag-and-drop puzzle, and your progress is kept in this browser. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. Try birdsong and a soft stream in the mixer to complete the open-air feeling.
Questions & answers
Are landscape puzzles harder?
Large areas of similar colour can take longer. Work along the horizon and paths first.
Can I use the ghost preview?
Yes. The faint preview on the board helps when sky and field pieces look alike.
